I require a push!!

Even though I have found it interesting to peruse through the various activities I still require people skills. I find it very difficult to just talk to myself on a screen and add thoughts. I wonder if those who kept diaries as children find this easier to do?

Pebble pad is interesting but I feel the need for individual tuition on it and more direction. It is a new toy for me and I can't help feeling that I am not utilising it adequately. I must sort some photos and my cv on to this mac they are all on sticks or on other computers.

I have just spent the large part of sunday morning on this and still have loads of entries to make on it. Has anyone else utilised this to a great extent and found it useful. I don't have time to waste!so only want to use it if it is actually helpful. I can see it would be a good tool to place CV s and contacts on and thoughts, but did I hear somewhere that it was going to be replaced or was that something else?

e-portfolio

Initial listening to the e-portfolio on pebble pad seems to be everything I need. The question is will I be able to utilise it or are my computer skills inadequate?

Uses of Wiki

Have just examined the Wiki site an interesting idea and I could utilise it within aspects of my teaching especially the setting up of group work in ECS 201. It would be a valuable tool to instigate the inital aspect of the assignment getting the students to agree on the subject their group could discuss, the venue and who could be taking which part within the group activity. I can see it would aid the inital communication which many found difficult due to work commitments then they would only have to meet once to do the role play activity.

It would also be useful in the Ecs  birth to three milestones where students again work together to create a presentation regarding one area of milestones either birth to 6 months 6-12 months etc. They could work together on a web page aspect then bring it into a presentation . Yes interesting and useful

STARTING OFF

This really is a brand new experience and I am not enjoying it at this moment.A blog who do I talk to or is it just a reflection. I think the best thing to do is to add some photos to start my discussions and then examine other blogs.
